This large, modern-style, original Mrirt rug was made by artisans in the area of Khenifra, Atlas Mountains, Morocco. Groups of women there still weave by hand on traditional, vertical looms to make these new rugs.
This rug is made of premium quality, soft wool 100%. Medium pile, thick and heavy! Super comfortable texture.
Colors are a bright and sweet mix of yellow, brownish gray, cream, orange, black and green.
Approximate dimensions are 6.9x10feet (+6inches tassels on one ending) / 210x305cm (+15cm tassels on one ending).
This rug is newly-made, meaning that it will come to you all clean and in excellent condition! As it is handmade, it may show some irregularities but is in a great shape overall.
Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the great work done on that rug!
