Here is another lovely and fresh, colorful rug! Probably made in the area of Boujad, Morocco, it is a real vintage rug that comes with a great composition and mix of bright colors! You will find here a series of 5 stars containing the traditional berber symbol for protection. On each borders, other symbols feature 4 cute teapots in blue and green (see close-up pictures #4 and #11).
Main background color is a pink with orange, red, yellow, blue and green designs over it.
The rug is handmade 100% and made of wool (the pink base) with colorful cotton threads that add a great texture to the whole rug. Low to medium pile.
Approximate dimensions are 3x4.9feet / 93x150cm with no tassels.
The small size of the rug makes it a versatile decor item you can move around the house, from your entryway to the kitchen. I cleaned it myself using water and soft detergent so I can confirm that there is no concern about possible color bleeding.
Please note again that this rug is real vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear, like some worn spots in pile, which make it unique and charming. That said, the rug is all clean, shows no stains or obvious fixes and in a great vintage condition overall!
