Here is a masterpiece of a vintage Boujad rug! It shows such bright and fresh colors and a great composition. On the borders of the rug, you will find the classic, traditional berber designs like stars, hooked diamonds and crosses into multiple frames floating around four larger designs in the center part. I love the contrasting work on these larger designs, where you can tell that the lady weaver got much more inspired and showed a real artistic sense.
The whole rug is so vibrant with a mix of pink, mint green, orange, cream over a purple background. It is definitely is a unique piece of berber art!
The rug is made of wool 100% and is a medium pile, quite light, very soft and comfortable under your feet. Original colors that have not been artificially faded.
Approximate dimensions are 5.3x11.2feet / 162x342cm (+unregular tassels). The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape.
Please note that this rug is vintage, meaning that it's been made first for private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear, which make it unique and charming. That said, it is all clean and in great vintage condition, shows no stains or obvious fixes!
