This one is such a beautiful rug! Probably from the Beni Mguild tribe, this area rug shows a traditional diamond pattern, with a fun twist. I love the smaller, unregular intricate diamonds poping out in bright colors: yellow, purple, green, neon pink. The background of the rug is a burgundy I would say, and shows interesting variations in colors. A warm rug that would work both in eclectic, new bohemian or modern interiors if you ask me!
The rug is handmade 100%, made of sheep wool on a cotton base. Medium pile.
Approximate dimensions are 6.9x12.9feet / 212x395cm (+tiny tassels). The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape. Note that it is quite unusual to find a real vintage moroccan rug that is wider than 7feet.
This rug is obviously vintage, meaning that it's been made first for private use, not directly for the market. It will come with signs of wear. That said, it shows no obvious fixes or stains and is in great vintage condition!
