I am so glad I can bring this beautiful rug to the selection! It was sourced in the area of Aït Bouguemez, Azilal, Morocco. It is a real vintage Azilal rug I love so much I couldn't let it go! The composition looks quite classic at first, with series of intricate diamonds in black and orange over a neutral beige background. But there is so much happening in each diamond when you look closer! Each one contains a symbol that looks like a hooked box (I won't pretend I know the meaning of that specific symbol) coming in orange, bright yellow, green and blue.
The whole rug is so vibrant and definitely is a unique piece of berber art!
The rug is made of wool 100% and is a low pile.
Approximate dimensions are 4.8x10.8feet (+4inches tassels) / 148x330cm (+10cm tassels).
The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape.
Please note that this rug is vintage, meaning that it has been made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of age. That said, the rug shows no stains or obvious fixes and is in great condition overall.
