Here is a real vintage rug from the Beni Mguild tribe that is a great and unique piece!

The main background color of this rug is a brick red I would say but it shows some variations in tones. The rich pattern is made of intricate hooked diamonds, which is one of the most used symbols when it comes to berber rugs (the symbol for femininity). The designs are a warm mix of orange, beige and black. The rug has not been artificially faded and shows original colors.

Quite thick, made of high quality sheep wool 100%, medium pile.

Approximate dimensions are 6.7x10.1feet / 204x310cm (+unregular tassels).
The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape. If you made some research online, you probably noticed that it is quite rare to find a real vintage moroccan rug that is wider than 7feet. Similar rugs are usually 6-6.5feet wide. These rugs were made first for a private use and rooms in traditional moroccan houses are usually quite narrow. That explains why vintage moroccan rugs can be long but never too wide.

This rug is real vintage, meaning that it was made first for a private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of wear, which make it unique and charming. Most thing to notice is that a small part of the right black border is "crunched" but it can be easily fixed. Then it shows no stains or obvious fixes and is in great condition overall!

Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate. Please take time to check all detailed pictures, so you can see the beautiful work of this rug!
